The original Sweetest Things Bakery, nestled among the scrub oaks in downtown St. Marys, opened in May of 2003. This cozy shop was the birthplace of confectionary delights and aromatic gourmet coffees which were sure to please the most discriminating taste.  Now the bakery finds its home at 888 E. Kings Bay Road in St. Marys, making it more convenient for local residents and visitors.

Immediately upon entering you find cases loaded with such goodies and treats as scones, cinnamon rolls, buns, cakes, and breads to name a few.  You may choose from various gourmet coffees, Tazo, herbal teas, Pellegrino bottled water and more.  Christy is more than happy to make special requests and will cater events as well.  You may sit and enjoy your treats while at the bakery or pick them up and take them home or to work with you.

If you are hoping to pry the recipe for one of your favorites at the bakery, forget it!  Christy says all of her recipes are secret, some handed down by family and others of her own making.  All of her baking is done on the premises.  Not an easy task the way these goodies fly out the door!

Christy Foster owns this new business and is pleased with the reception of visitors and residents.  This is something that Christy has always wanted to do and even though the hours are long she seems to glow when talking about her newfound venture.  Her day typically begins about 2:00 AM and by 3:15 AM she is busy baking her goodies, then her day ends around 7:00 PM.  This is definitely a different atmosphere than her previous profession as a Flight Paramedic.

If you are looking for a little respite from your jaunt around downtown or just need a quick pick-me-up, stop in and find something to enjoy at The Sweetest Things Bakery and Coffee Bar.
